Parkanaur Trust is governed by a Board of Trustees, which monitors and advises on financial and care governance standards.

The Trustees are highly experienced in various aspects of care, healthcare, educational governance and have a record of service and commitment to the local community.

Professor Bernard Cullen

Professor Cullen is currently Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at Queen’s University Belfast since 2009. Previously Executive Dean off Humanities QUB 1998 – 2003. Graduate, Cabinet Office Top Management Programme 1994/95.

Professor Cullen has held a wide range of other appointments (voluntary and public service) including President of Irish Philosophical Society 1989 – 1992, Member of Senate of Queen’s University Belfast 1997 – 2003, Member of Public Service Commission NI 2001 – 2006 – 2014, Chair, Libraries NI 2014 – ongoing

Solicitor since 1978. Partner Simmons, MegLaughlin and Orr from 1982, Senior Partner from mid 1990s until the firm was sold in 2018. Since then working as Consultant Solicitor for the new owners. Director and Company Secretary of TDPT for over 40 tears.

Other roles – Director and Company Secretary of Moygashel Community Development Association Ltd – for 30 years and ongoing, Director Dungannon and District Housing association Ltd for approximately 10 years, Non- Executive Director of Southern Health and Social Care Trust, Chair Audit Committee, for 12 years.

Involved in a wide range of charitable work, including Trustee for various community charities including experience as Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. Current activities include Ambassador for Air Ambulance NI, Coach for Simon Community, Part time youth worker for over 30 years.

Claire qualified with a Masters in Pharmacy, Queen’s University Belfast, 2001. Currently an independent prescribing pharmacist in General Practice since 2012. Previously hospital pharmacist in Antrim Area hospital and Craigavon Area hospital 2002-2012.

We have a strong expertise in caring and supporting people with particularly complex needs, including autism spectrum conditions, behaviours which may challenge, mental health conditions, profound and multiple learning disabilities, physical disabilities and hearing impairment. To optimise life choices and experiences by providing specialist care and support, including a range of accommodation and activities promoting independence and personal development, to meet the needs of people with disabilities and their families. Where appropriate, this might include steps towards voluntary or paid employment.

Parkanaur Trust is committed to the promotion of life skills and personal development of people with a range of disabilities.

Based in a large Manor House in the middle of a forest park we are a charity that provides a range of person-centred living options and personal development opportunities for people with complex needs.

Our service is managed by an experienced management team who ensure that staff continually update their knowledge and skills. All our care personnel maintain their registration with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council.

We are registered with the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority (RQIA) and Charity Commission NI.
