The College has a governance Board in the form of the Thomas Doran Trust, which monitors and advises on financial and care governance standards. The Trustees are all highly experienced in various aspects of financial, care, healthcare and educational governance, and has a record of service and commitment to the local community.
Chairman, Prof Bernard Cullen: PhD, Training & Supervising Fellow of the Institute of Psychoanalysis. Professor Emeritus of Philosophy QUB. Chairman of the Staff Commission for Education & Library Boards. Member of the Public Service Commission NI. Inaugural Chair of the Ethics committee of the British Confederation of Psychotherapists. Former Dean of the Faculties of Humanities and Theology, QUB.
Vice Chairman DR Maureen Crawford, MB ChB DCH DRCOG FRCGP DipMedED: GP Partner in Dungannon area until retirerment December 2011. As Associate Direcotr of Post-Graduate (General Practice) in Northern Ireland Medical and Dental Training Agency until 2008. Involved in providing, managing and quality assuring medical education for 25 years. Honorary Lecturer Queen's University Belfast. Currently Medical Member of Tribunals (Disability Living Allowance) General Medical Council, Associate/Medical Member of Medical Practitioner Tribunal Service (Fitness to Practice).
Secretary, Mr Oliver Ross, BA LLB: Local solicitor, Moygashel Community Development Association Ltd. Former non-executive Director of Armagh & Dungannon Trust.
Treasurer, Mrs Nuala Kennedy FRCCA is an accountant and a governor of Sperrinview Special School.
Mr Billy McCrory, QC: Barrister with broad experience of young people’s issues. Former governor of St Mary’s School Cabragh.
Mr Colin Turkington: Local businessman with extensive experience in business, growing companies in a variety of sectors including property, timber construction, engineering and renewable energy.
Mr Peter Branker, BEM, M.I.A.T.I.: Peter works as a Self Employed Accountant and Tax Advisor and also a part time youth support worker in Dromore Youth & Resource Centre working with children with learning difficulties including Autism. Peter is a constant fundraiser for many charities & Community Groups. Currently holds the position of Chairperson with both Dromore Community Charity events committee & Ballymacormick Rural Community Association & is assistant Treasurer with Dromore in Action.
Mr Gerry Campbell-BA (Hons) Modern History & Politics & Masters in Organisational Management, Chief Executive, Colleges NI: Gerry has extensive experience as a non-executive director within the public and voluntary sectors and is currently NI Chair of Extern, a large charitable organisation that provides services to a wide range of vulnerable children and adults across the island of Ireland. Gerry is also committed to life-long learning and education and continues to play an active role on the Board of Governors of two local schools.
Mrs Pauline McIvor, BSS'c; MIACP; Reg. MBACP (Sen. Accred); PGCFHE: Former lecturer in Counselling and Psychology at QUB and Omagh College of Further and Higher Education. Currently working in private practice as counsellor, supervisor of counsellors and trainer in counselling and personal development.
Caring experience: Four trustees are carers for family members with disabilities.
